THE BENEFIT OF THE EMOM
We have been hitting a lot of EMOMs (Every Minute On The Minute) lately to get you guys working on good, efficient technique, and recovery. When we do regular MetCons (conditioning workouts), most people just head fast out of the gates and redline it which unsustainable. They will see a dramatic drop off in work achieved.
The EMOM is pretty much an enforced level of pacing that allows you to become familiar with your work capacity as it relates to certain movements. The goal is to move well and be consistent with your workload for each set. As you become accustomed to what you can and cannot do for certain movements, this will then transfer over to regular MetCons and you will be able to work in a more efficient manner.
For todays EMOM if you need to reduce your reps or modify the movement, do so accordingly.
