THE FOCUS OF DECEMBER TRAINING PLUS SOME DATES TO REMEMBER
December is upon us. Whoa! That happened quick! Where did the year go?
December is a crazy time of year – Xmas, New Years Eve, holidays, less time at work, or maybe more depending on what you do, kids on school holidays….etc etc. It’s easy to get overwhelmed and a little stressed (ironic seeing as though it is meant to be a time of celebration and socialising).
And that’s where we come in. Think of your one hour at GEO as “YOU TIME”. It’s one hour when you don’t have to worry about work deadlines, or shopping, or running the kids around. It’s one hour when you get to undertake some “Iron Therapy” – throw some weights around, move your body around, and hang out with some like-minded people.
We have got a great month of training programmed for your pleasure. We will be doing a lot of conditioning work to start getting you prepped for the CrossFit Games Open in February/March. There’s no point leaving it to the last minute. We also want you moving fast, raising your heart rate, and getting a good sweat on because we know there will be the odd indulgence over the Christmas period. Let’s ramp up that metabolism!
Some important dates to remember:
Saturday 9th – 8am Park session at Boronia Park (7am Open Gym will still be on plus 10am Gymnastics)
Saturday 23rd – Our traditional “12 Days of Christmas” WOD plus a drinks and a feed afterwards, starting from 7am (no Open Gym, no Gymnastics)
Monday 25th – Merry Xmas – closed
Tuesday 26th – Boxing Day – closed
Wednesday 27th – 9.30am, 5.15pm, 6.15pm only
Thursday 28th – 9.30am, 5.15pm, 6.15pm only
Friday 29th – 9.30am, 5.oopm Open Gym, 6.15pm
Saturday 30th – 7.00am Open Gym, 8.00am (no Gymnastics)
Monday 1st January 2018 – New Years Day – closed
