Attention all Silverbacks, Blue-Rinsers, Ol-dogs and Fossils,

If you are aged 35 or over then you are entitled to enter the NSW Master League competition to be held at GEO on Sunday 22 January.

This is a competition that started a couple of years ago to provide a forum for us older athletes to compete in and not have to worry about getting our butts kicked by boys and girls half our age.  The competition caters to all levels of fitness and experience so it doesn’t matter if you are new to CrossFit or if you feel you are not strong enough.  There are 3 categories you can choose from – Soldier, Warrior and Hero akin to Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

Have a look at the movements below for each category.  They will give you an idea of which one you should enter.

The comp is a great way to be inspired by athletes your age and older, to satisfy that competitive streak you may have, and to meet some cool people.  I have made a lot of friends through the Masters League.

Because GEO is hosting the event, I will be programming the 3 workouts you will do on the day so you can rest assured that whilst you will be challenged, you will not be forced to do anything stupid or impossible.

Last year Rachael, Forbsie and I all participated and we all walked away with medals. But that’s not what it is about.  It really is a social gathering and a way to throwdown with like minded people.  I encourage as many of you as possible to get involved.

Below is the link to register.

Numbers are strictly limited so don’t dilly dally for too long.  Take the plunge and register.

Let’s show these young folk what we are made of.
